It's too cold, I'm too tired, it's too icy, it's too late, it's too early, the kids are being a pain, the wife is ill.... I've used all of those over the past few days, meaning I've failed to actually get out and run since Tuesday.
Feeling pretty rubbish about the fact I've not stuck to the plan, but hoping to restart week 2 tomorrow.
What's the best excuse, and worst excuse for that matter, you've ever used to justify not running?

Never used one..ever...At the moment I.am just so happy the ice has finally melted and tomorrow morning I can get outside again...Yeayyayay..its gonna be wet..Its gonna be windy...its gonna be wonderful!!!
Life does get hectic..and we do have to accept that...But....but... but..if we run..it helps with all the stresses and strains and general stuff!
So..get out there..no..hoping to get out..just do it😉
Black Dog ie depression. The real me is three runs from graduating and desperate to get out there, but the Black Dog is refusing to let me out of the door ☹️ I have a hectic life with a lot of responsibilities and I know I can’t count on getting out every second day. That hasn’t bothered me: it can’t be helped so I don’t feel bad about it. But this current bout of depression is doing my head in. 😬
My excuse for years was that I had bad knees. Then I’d left it too long. Now... excuses do come up... they scream really loud at me as I lace my shoes... they get louder as I open the front door... they play with my head during the warmup.
Excuses not to run? I don’t have any... those excuses are now the reason that I do run... I’m stronger than them... they’ll never win again.
