Well.... I did it!! Only my second 5k at aintree! I’d been poorly for two weeks and on steroids for asthma.
I’d done a couple of small runs and felt ok. So today I was just aiming to finish and boy did I finish!! I got a pb!! Totally unexpected!! Absolutely made up with me!! 🏃♀️👍 what ever your story/journey is you can do it xx
Congratulations to you myslimmingworld for running your second 5K at Aintree, at least you did not to have to jump over the high fences such as Becher's Brook, The Chair or The Canal Turn that the horses have to jump at the Grand National.
Glad that you are recovering from your asthma. Nice bling/medal you got. 😊 🏃
Not so far!, I was thinking about Race At Your Pace, I was wondering if 50 miles in March was a tad ambitious, I'll see if I get across JuJu's Bridge to10k first.
Sounds fun! I guess only you know your body and your current capabilities and will choose the goal that suits you best. Great to have a goal though... I’m a bit rootless at present.
(I have been reading several books about running marathons and ultras, which might explain the conclusion I jumped to!)
