The key trick to this is learning to run slowly, especially if you have health issues, or quite unfit. This is an amazing programme and it will gently get you to run for 30 minutes, and you’ll see positive benefits to your health quite quickly. And you can learn to run without injury - if you run slowly. Someone else posted this a week or so ago and I found it very useful (as I am still a slow runner).

You’ll find this a very supportive and helpful forum so keep posting, will be great to see how you get on. And if you have any questions, just post, someone will be able to answer.

Hope you enjoy this - it’s staggering what you can achieve!

Hi Diana, welcome to the forum. That's a good thing you're doing for your health, C25K is brilliant! Just make sure you have a good sports bra, that's very important, and follow the programme, take it slowly, and keep posting! This forum is so supportive, if you have any questions someone will have the answer.

Best of luck xx

Welcome Dianacan

I started this programme in Oct 2018 after recovering from my surgery following a cancer diagnosis (not breast).

It has helped me in so many ways👍

As advised do take it slow and steady, its about building up your fitness levels and stamina and not based on speed.

This forum is great for support and advice.

Best of luck to you x

Thank you , I’ve just completed my first run and it was tough I managed about 7.5 mins of running so I’m feeling quite please with my self!

The only gear I have at the moment is a pair of old running trainers so I think running in jeans, a sweat-top , winter jacket and trailing a JRT dog that wanted to sniff everything I did pretty well 😂
