Sorry about your injury Jps21, I just hope that it is not too serious and it won't be too long before you can get get back to running.

I hope so too at the minute all I want is to be able to walk properly. Hope I’ve not lost my confidence to start the couch to 5k again

Not the best thing to happen but you will be fine eventually. I injured my knee right at the beginning of the program and was out for over two months. Managed to complete it then but got injured again (ankle) on my graduation run. Out again for three or so months. I can only myself to blame. Mistakes were obvious and so was my idiocy. I wore poor, incompatible shoes with no insoles to support my comedy feet. I ran hard and long, even managed to ignore rest days. Hydration and stretching? What hydration and stretching?! Above all, l ignored some priceless advise from the forum.

That was a few years ago. I repeated the whole program again having done gait analysis, bought proper shoes and changed the way l trained. And l trained on my body strength lots. Currently I’m nursing a minor knee niggle caused by a slip during a pre-run warm up but have learned my lessons and waiting for it to heal properly before hitting the track. Oh, and from all that carnage l managed to get to full marathon training. ;) Get well soon!

Oh no. Here’s hoping you’re back soon. Try to keep the rest of you moving and that fitness level rising.
