Woke up in a pants mood, totally fed up and no motivation to do anything. So wrote on here for a bit of morale support. Having been gently encouraged to stop bliddy whining and threats of cattle prods I picked up my teddy from the corner and took him outside for a run. It went ok as runs go. Hard but doable. But done non the less. Still not feeling in the best of moods I thought I'd benefit from being outside a bit longer. Maybe treat myself to a pub lunch. I decided to try a new footpath that I'd had my eye on for a while. I followed the marked path across a couple of fields mood started to lift, and I started to enjoy being outside. UNTIL the footpath signs stopped......I had a choice of 3, left, right, or straight ahead. I went left. And was relieved to see a style. Phewy! Only on the other side of the style was an overgrown wood with the path being completely blocked. Hmmmmm.....ok, I thought, I'll just follow the edge of the wood and find another way through, only along the side of the wood was a water way. Eventually, with much relief I saw a bridge over the water. A bridge and an actual path! Phew! So I followed the path into the woods, through some weird post apocalypse landscapes of dead ferns, and brash only to find thsy the footpath csne out at the other side of the style that was blocked with trees!!!! 😑 At this point, the air became blue as you can imagine. So, I two choices, back the way I came which was now getting on for a couple of miles. Or follow the tractor tire tracks, which I figured must come out on a road somewhere??? Surely???? Having trespassed through a farmers yard I could hear the road but couldn't get through because of high hedges. I considered walking through the farmyard, but didn't want to risk dogs. At this point I thought I was going to have to climb over the flopping hedge!!! However, when I got the hedge it was actually an optical illusion of two hedges one behind the other with a road inbetween!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!! I worked out where I was, and headed towards the pub where I had intended to have lunch. Now 3miles away. But I was ok, the end was in sight. Finally got to the pub, ordered a latte and soup. Just as they were being placed on the table, my daughters primary school rang asking me to pick her up as she wasnt feeling well. I downed the coffee, burning my tongue in the process, legt the soup and ran back to my village and collected my daughter. So instead of a nice relaxing gentle 3miles I ended up doing nearly TEN!!!!! I don't know whether to laugh or cry!!! 😜😱
