What a week. Boy it was tough. I'm doing this triathlon training, pulled a muscle in the 1 sport I wanted to stay away from, swimming. Now in my head I'm fighting with myself cause this is going to be hard to train for 3sports, my problem is the runni g has got me to where I am and I don't want to jeperdise that or for better words loose the hard work I've put in. I've been nursing a injury all week, got out this morning and done a 3.5k. Boy your body let's you know you haven't been out. I've done 3 runs a week regardless since August. How do I cmbat the mental block that i might go backwards. I know I won't but how do you tell them wee doubters inside. Hope I'm making sense

Hard week
Hi Johnny. I have no idea at all about triathlon training, but well done for getting started!
It seems to me that rather like in C25k, when you extend your distance (and sports, in this case), you are going to take a dip in performance whilst your body adjusts? And my understanding is that a lot of endurance athletes train at their easier pace for the vast majority of the time and then train hard for every fourth/fifth session? So it would seem that building up endurance for three events without burning out/getting injured would be a slow and steady process requiring quite a bit of patience! But what a goal...
I am sure there are vastly more experienced people than me who took different approaches that worked for them! I guess it takes time to learn what works best for you...
Best of luck to you 🙂
The only answer to the Voices is to ignore them. Remember back to the start of C25k, when they told you you’d never get through week 1 ? They were lying then and they’re lying now ! As always, take it slow and steady and you’ll get there x
The fact you've been running three times a week since August says it all really. You've now worked hard to get a habit and as we all know, habits are hard to break! Very well done to you 💪👏👏👏 You'll no doubt have little bouts of time off from running for various things, life, sickness, injury but the habits are there now and you'll get back to it. Just head out for a little walk/run and away you go. You're a runner therefore you'll run.
Hats off to you for doing the triathlon training. I can't offer any advice on this specifically but generally I'd say go slow, train wisely, one step at a time, stretch and take rest days.
I think roseabi does triathlons so hopefully she'll be along to offer some advice.
Good luck, have fun and keep going 🏃🏃🏃
