Week 2 Run 1

Even completing the first week feels like a huge accomplishment for us (I feel like I was really eased into week 2 though as I repeated those couple of runs). We’re really enjoying running together and are keeping each-other motivated. I really was truly exhausted today but he got me out and we did our run and I don’t even feel tired anymore. Yay running.

Great, you are well on your way now. Trust the program and you will soon be running for 30 minutes, believe it or not. It is just fine to end the session exhausted but watch your pace to be sure that you can do all the components for the session. It is good to have a running buddy but ensure that you are not dragged up to a pace that you cannot sustain or it will knock you physically and mentally. All the way through the whole program the one thing that you can do to ensure success is to run slowly enough. Just keep putting on those shoes and getting out of the door 3 times a week... it become delightfully addictive. Best wishes

Week one is a big achievement... from 0 to 20 minutes of heart raising workout... that’ll be the biggest weekly step up you ever do! Great job on the start of week 2 as well, your fitness levels are rising rapidly. Enjoy the next one.
