Week 3: Run 2

This Run should have been another of my ‘running rings around’ posts, but alas my younger dog crashed into the older one with a right wallop and a few minutes later she couldn’t walk properly and looked like she was having an episode of some kind, and then threw up a few minutes after that. Which is why I spent my cool down walk taking turns carrying her across a muddy field to the car (luckily she doesn’t weigh a lot).

One emergency trip to the vet later (and several £££ down) we’re fairly certain it was just Shock, though she does have a couple of sore bits down her spine so she’s got to take it very easy for the next few days.

So, run complete, but I had to mark it with a 😐 instead of a 😊 for totally non running related reasons.

Poor thing... hope she’s back in action and pain free soon. Great run despite all this, hopefully an uneventful run 3 next.

We were all really enjoying ourselves till it happened, it was really cold, but crisp and even the husband did a 60s jog. Just the one mind!

An uneventful run would be really good right now 👍

Thank you!

She’s been asleep most of the afternoon, which I always see as a good thing.

Oh bless her - so pleased it wasn't too serious. And well done for completing your run under those circumstances 😊🐕🐕

I was on my last interval when it happened and just heading back to husband when I saw her start staggering. Unfortunately that also meant we were only just over halfway round our walk so we just had to press on.

So sorry to read this. I hope she's doing better with a bit of rest.

Oh dear, that sounds horrible and very worrying as you carried doggie back to the car! Hope she is feeling ok now. Never a dull moment when trying to run with dogs ;)

She’s fine now - or as fine as she gets anyway - thanks 🙏
