So, I’m still here, still running- albeit gracelessly.
I have noticed though that the inside edge of the front of my left knee is very swollen and swore. I can’t decide if this is from running, or a recent hair removal related injury- contortionist leg epilation skills are on point! I’ve got some excellent running trainers, but I suspect it might be that my foot arch needs even more support because as I ran I concentrated pressure further towards the outer edge of my foot, and miraculously the pain eased. So, Amazon is being plundered for the finest in arch supports, and I intend to keep plugging away at the running. Does anyone have any further advice with regards to the knee/arch dilemma?
Another new addition this week has been a Fitbit- very helpful for motivation! It’s great to see my heart rate, calories and steps increasing!
Due to having found this week a struggle, I am going to redo a run from week two, just to make sure I’m ready for week 3.
Wish me luck! 🤞

I think once I’m further into the program I’ll have to get my gait looked at. I’m too scared of the treadmill at the moment. Until then, rest and keeping a close eye on my knees. 👍🏻
Exactly what Ianno said. The shoes are only 'excellent' if they are right for YOU. A trip to a specialist running shop (not a generic sports shop) is advisable if you haven't done it already. As my brother advised me when I was on week 2 'it'll cost more but your knees will thank you'. He was right on both counts.
Well done , hope the knee is ok , I've just finished week 2 Tonight , haven't run in about 6 years, felt it in my legs towards the end, I've taken to the treadmill as it's freezing outside, but most importantly I've found it the best way to control my pace, as I have a tendency to go off to fast , maybe something to look at , Here's to week 3 fellow runner 🏃🏃
