Sports bra injury

Yes you read it right. I am a large lady and have heavy breasts. Up until now I have worn a good high impact racer back bra. I did my first week 9 jog on Saturday and when I got home I have noticed that my muscle in my upper back where the bra X is really hurt. It was bad but 6 days on it is on the mend.

Ouch! Was that a new bra or just a new injury with a bra you previously had no issues with?

I must say this is the hardest area to deal with! I can't do jumping jacks unless I hold my boobs (which is then not a jumping jack lol). I still haven't found a sports bra that really holds things together? I've thought about duct tape! Lol

The best I have found is to wear a normal bra and then the sports bra over the top. I don't know if there IS anything that truely holds the bigger bust completely?

You need a Shock Absorber bra. Shop around, there are still sales out there and you can sometimes get a good deal on them. Debenhams do them.

I have had a few different types, some with big brand labels, and the best sports bra I have found is from Tesco! We are all individuals, in this area as well as many others.

I double up: sports bra with sports crop top over, both racer back. I find I get a bit of muscle tightness between my shoulder blades but I am mindful of my posture while running and keeping my shoulders from hunching, so I think this is partly it. I haven’t experienced discomfort like you are describing, though: more a post-exercise ache. It is a challenge! Maybe try a different brand, or you’re just ready for a new one?

Not what you're looking for?
