Well been weather watching all day today. Snow and ice up here in NE Scotland. But despite my daughter thinking I’m mad went for it and completed my run tonight. Felt a bit like dancing on ice at times but took it steady and really glad I went 🙂
Week 2 Run 2: Well been weather watching all day... - Couch to 5K
Week 2 Run 2
Well done! Bet it was exhilarating tho. And u feel great now 😀
Well done! Not sure about the ice and snow (as a soft southerner from Manchester), but I'm sure you're made from sterner stuff.
Just started this week 😉What happens in week two thou, is it still 60 jog 90 walk
What's week 2 like 60/90 just curious as week one nearly done
I agree - don't think too much about it and you will manage it no problem. Partly, it's a matter of finding your own comfortable pace and then it's easy.
I am starting week one on Monday - hoping I will have your willpower when it comes to getting outside on a freezing morning! Well done x
Take care! Hopefully you have really good trainers and lots layers!
I'm debating about a run today Tyneside, will have to check conditions. My son ran yesterday and slipped after 5 miles picked himself up and managed another 1.5 miles back home before he went to A & E for 7 stitches for a cut eye brow.
I was too wary to do my run yesterday due to the ice and snow. Worried I'll slip and injure myself and then not be able to run for much longer than just missing a few days due to weather. I'm in NE Scotland too - and normally run on forest tracks. Just about to start Week 6.
Wow impressive! We had ice here just north of Glasgow and I waited until later in the morning - didn’t want to break my neck! So much better than the treadmill. Wk 2 Run 2... tick!! Keep going!
Thanks Biddy, one of the hazards of living in the frozen north 😂! Still cold up here today but hopefully better underfoot tomorrow for run 3! Good luck with your running too 👍
I’m impressed. I was due to do week 2 run 2 on the same day and I also live in NE Scotland. The pavements around me looked way too slippy for an accident-prone novice runner like me! I was so keen to get out and do it too. I’m yet to do that run as I’ve now got the lurgy.
