Not much sleep last night due to flight being delayed so late arrival at hotel. Busy day at 10 shift at work.
The heavy rain put me off running outside, in a strange place in the dark, so opted to pay €8 tousethe nearby gym (that’s right €8 per session)!
Run was going well until a very attractive 20 something blonde girl got on the treadmill next to me smashed out 5k in 27 minutes! Didn’t do much for my confidence that one.
Oh well, w5r1 over with, onwards and upwards!

You have done very well on getting to week 5, well done on getting onto the treadmill at the gym dispite the price. 😊 Yes that's what happens, you think you are doing very well indeed and some one comes along next to you and runs a sub 30 minute 5k 🏃 😊. Onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 5.
If it had been a competition (and it wasn't) you'd have won because you went out and found a gym, paid for it and kept up your C25K training. As for the blonde - well, she gave you something to look at! She'll have been in training to catch a rich old man. Once she's got him she'll stop running and then she won't be so attractive. Do I sound like a bitter and twisted overweight brunette who hasn't been 20 something for 30 years? Oh well, never mind!
Ok, sorry if I was a bit sharp. Apology absolutely accepted.
It can be tough being a running woman- young or old and I know that my daughters get loads of unwanted 'attention' when they run. We are all out there doing our stuff and we all deserve respect
Thanks for coming back to me, I was upset to think I may have hurt anyone. As a younger, slimmer woman I also came in for a lot of unwanted attention (and not just when I ran) which led me to gain weight in an attempt to ward it off and I am still paying the price in terms of the impact it has had on my health and my self-esteem. I should remember that the only enemy is the one within.
