You know I've read so many posts on here about not being able to achieve todays work-out or this weeks. Due to many reasons, feeling tired, out of breathe and so on.
I can't stress enough how important it is to fuel your body and your muscles. If you don't eat your body is not going to make eat and you'll end up stressing yourself out because you think you've failed. You haven't failed at all, stay positive it's all possible.
I find myself eating at least one hour prior to starting to give myself some energy, eat some fruit as well to give you some slow release carbs which will help. Also drink plenty of water.
Just remember your car needs fuel to drive it, your body is the same.

we're all different I suppose. I agree about hydration, but I HATE to eat anything before I run, makes me feel all out of sorts; heavy and uncomfortable. I'll get refuelled when I come home
Same. I much prefer to run in empty, then fuel up after. There was one of the Michael Moseley tv shows that focused on weight loss and they showed that generally women performed better in the gym and lost more weight when exercising before breakfast but men were the opposite. Of course we are all individuals and the general rules may not apply to each of us.
So sorry.... you are right. I just had a quick google and I’ve got it completely wrong! The program was on a few years ago and I am quite forgetful 😂 Turns out that us women shouldn’t eat immediately after exercise...... have lost the link now so can’t post it 😥
That's really interesting, thanks for the link. Running on the treadmill at the gym, usually followed by short swim, steam room or outdoor jacuzzi, shower, getting home again ... means I'm not eating straight away anyway, but I might just tweak things to make sure it's at least 90 minutes.
