Wow 9 weeks ago who would of thought I could of completed this! I’ve had my ups and downs( today was hard, but I didn’t stop) now to continue... I will need to up my pace as I’m not quite hitting 5k ( 4.6k & 4.8k at most) but so pleased I can run 30 non stop. Onwards and upwards from here. Keep going everyone, if I can do this ( never run before) you all can. Thanks everyone for all your posts, advice, links etc...they’re truly helpful especially for people like me, who needs help but doesn’t want to post!!!
I can’t believe I’ve finished C25K 😱🎉 - Couch to 5K
I can’t believe I’ve finished C25K 😱🎉
Congratulations. I think I graduated at 4.8k too, then I ran 3 miles to bag the 5k... forgetting the fact I needed 3.11 miles 😂. Anyways, 5k is in your legs that’s for sure. Celebrate well and consolidate your achievement. Enjoy your future running adventures!
Many congratulations. As a recent graduate, I know that this moment is pretty special. Savour every moment. You have earned it. And as Unfitnomore says, try not to worry about the numbers, just consolidate and they will increase, maybe not in a straight trajectory, but they will.
Upping the pace is very hard. You could first aim to get stronger by going longer. Slower and longer is the way to build your running legs. Trying to up the pace before your legs are ready could lead to injury
Slowly increasing distance by no more than 10% a week is a good idea
Whatever you do, have fun doing it 😃👍
Many congratulations on your graduation fellow runner.
