Setting goals will help... so start thinking of where next for after graduation... maybe book a 5k event, target a time, or decide to go to 10k... whatever you want to do really.

Thanks for choosing to be a nurse... without people like you where would we be?!

I think you have to find something that motivates you that’s personal to you - for example even though it’s not recommended using strava/worrying about the times you do any distance in when you first start, I’ve found using strava really helpful along side the ct5k app because I love seeing the amount of miles I’ve run in total go up each time I run. It’s a mini achievement each time.

Congratulations on nearly completing your nurse training. Loads of my running friends are nurses.

The beauty of running is you can fit it round your schedule although it doesn't always feel like it on a dark night or early morning.

I find the key is throw my kit on and get out the house, sitting down can be a mistake I have sat in my running clothes for 2 hours before getting ready for bed!

Good luck with the running and completing your training.

Let us know how you get on.

Congratulations on getting to the end of a really challenging course. I used to teach nurses for many years and know how tough it is to get there. As far as motivation is concerned I have found I have to have a “why”. For me in retirement it is about getting as healthy and fit as I can get so that I can enjoy the next phase of my life without being a burden. At present when I lose the plot I think about my cholesterol levels and what running and eating healthily is doing to them. It’s my vengeance! Lol. You have the capacity to do this because you have already achieved so much. Good luck and keep in touch with this site. There is so much help and support here. 😊🏃🏻‍♀️
