It’s worse before you start. Right ? Newbie !

New here ! I’ve wanted to try this for years and finally it’s going to happen. Plan to start week 1 today. I’m putting it off I know. Finding lots of stuff to do ! Leaving work and heading home in half an hour and then it’s time. I’m about a stone heavier than the last time I even ran for a bus and I feel it.

See you on the other side !

You still be fine. Usually what we imagine in or heads is far worse than anything in real life 😊

2nd run done ! Struggled a bit as it was very hot. Feel energised with the achievement though !

Ahh the sense of achievement is soooo good! Very well done!

I'm about to get up, it's only 5 degrees C here. I always find it a bit harder in the heat. Running I the rain is the best 😊

I'll have to wait for that opportunity !

How long have you been running and how far now or how many minutes ?

I started in May last year. Completed 5k in July, average time is 35 minutes. I had a hiatus since November, started again on 29th December. Gotta build back up to where l was ;) doesn't take long to lose condition sadly!

Thanks Oldfloss it was easier than I thought. Have done run 2 today. Feeling worried about next week now. I can always repeat though.

Well done...just keep it steady... try very hard not to worry or think about repeating. Focus on, knowing, you will be able to do the run. If you take it very steadily and slowly... you will do them.

As Edison said

"If we did all the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves."

And, many, many of us have found this out for ourselves... as will you!

If you're running with the app, listen to Laura. She is brilliant. Gives you great tips. You've started now and you're well on your way. Make sure you stretch after every run as this is quite relaxing and good for the muscles. And you're less likely to have an injury because of it. Good luck
