Tonight I went for run 2 of week 7 and I struggled. I've been feeling unwell since Sunday due to my kidney stones (they're coming out on Monday, wahoo) and I ended up missing Mondays run and going today instead so I had 3 days rest which normally, I don't do.
However, although I finished the run I was feeling very deflated at the end since I really went out in the frame of mind that I could perhaps run longer than 25 minutes. In fact, I thought I was ready to run a full 5K and I didn't. I ran just under 3K in 25 minutes and now I know I'm just not ready and perhaps in a few weeks I'll be better to do it.

Hi BethanDavies, sorry to hear about your kidney stones 😢, wishing you all the best for Monday!!. Well done, completing your W7R2 even though you struggled. It was exactly what you were supposed to do, no reason to feel deflated, all the opposite! Some runs are just harder for no reason, don’t worry about it! And pushing yourself too hard may result in an injury and it would be a pity to be back on the couch now that you are so close to achieving your goal!! Take it easy, run your next 25 min after your rest day and listen to your body, you will run 5K at some point. Just remember than only around 10% of the C25K graduates manage to run 5K by W9R3!! Most of us are just proud snails, enjoying the awesomeness of being able to run for 30 min straight after 9 weeks of hard work!!! Go slow and steady, you will rock W7R3!!💪💪💪
Thanks so much! I've had a hard think and I've realized how proud I should be of myself cause of how far I've come. I should also give myself some credit considering I'm having surgery in a few days time!
