It's been an interesting holiday for running, I stuck to my running scheduled and ran every other day but had to cut short 3 runs so today I'm a week behind where I wanted to be.
However I'm going to take a bunch of positives from it, I've transitioned from running on a treadmill to running round a local nature park, I've had a gait analysis done and now have the right running shoes and today (including the warm up and cool down walks) I covered 5k in 37 minutes.
Looking forward to starting week 9 on New Year's Day and seeing where 2019 takes my running

It’s all positives. Like anything else in life sometimes the schedule goes out of the window... where you wanted to be deep down was running 30 minutes... so in my opinion you’re 8 weeks ahead... what you chose was a date on calendar that makes no difference to the goal of becoming a fitter healthier running person... so well done for looking beyond that date. Great job transitioning to the outdoors during this journey, that’s sometimes a tricky thing to do. 2019 will be amazing... happy running.
