...and i'm feeling great!

I was going to wait until 1st Jan to do it but I was sat with time to kill, thinking about doing it and feeling worried and I just thought "What am I waiting for?! I'll go and do it now". I feel so pleased with myself, I am no longer worrying or thinking of reasons not to start! I am very happy :)

I may not be so happy in the morning when my ankles/knees are sore! I'm off to stretch!

Looking forward to run 2

Well done on starting C25K, hope you enjoy your running journey. Onwards and upwards to run 2, rest and stretch between runs so that your ankles and knees don't get too sore. 😊

Wow! Talk about not procrastinating! Very well done just getting out and doing it. If you ache somewhat in the morning, just think to yourself that you earned those aches... and there will be more to follow, but you will run at least 30 minutes again soon, and the aches will get better as you advance. Enjoy run 2.

I could feel myself searching for excuses! I think the mental side of just starting and getting out of the house probably stops a lot of people doing it! It would have stopped me if I let myself dwell on it tonight!

Oh for sure... I decided to start running again somewhere around May 2017... then I thought about it for a year 😂

Now you’ve taken that hardest step in running, the one to that start line... onwards!

I've stopped myself doing it for so long with one excuse or another. It feels good just getting out and starting! No more excuses!!!

Hi

Just a heads up my legs were like concrete the day after my first run but once I did my second they were fine.

Good luck with your 2nd run.

Welcome to C25k Scenglish and well done for getting started. Keep posting on here you'll get great support, advice and motivation. The plan is brilliant and works. Keep it slow and steady and ALWAYS take at least one rest day to avoid fatigue and injury. Enjoy running in 2019!!

Oh dear... Now you've started you have to finish C25k 😸😸😸

I repeated Week 1 three times through August and into September and then progressed through the programme, graduating in November.

Finding and using this forum is the best support you can get 😁

Do you have the OneYou C25k app?

Hello and welcome!Check out this post for some brilliant information

Make sure you take the rest days, although even better if you can fit in a complimentary non impact activity on a couple of those rest days. Take it slow and steady, speed can come later. Enjoy!

What a brilliant start to your new year!
