Just done first run week one

Well I've started, been going to start for a few month but had tendentious and slow recovery. Did first run on treadmill, my calf muscles were hurting but managed to get through it.

I started yesterday, it was hard work! I'm struggling with keeping at it though. I'm meant to be doing the second run tomorrow...

Keep going Mousey! You've done it once and you can do it again, after the first couple of runs you'll be surprised how quickly it becomes routine and you start looking forward to getting out :)

You've started and with the help of all your friends on here you can finish. Stick with it, that first week seems so tough but this program really works and in no time you'll be surprising yourself. Slow and steady are the way forward, no heroics necessary. Keep checking in here for encouragement and motivation and good luck.

I'm just about to start week 7 and I'd be lying if I said I'd found any of them easy, but they are surprisingly possible. I did have to repeat one or two runs but I really don't mind, I keep moving forward and have become a believer that I will get to w9r3 as I'm sure you will if you just stick with it. Good luck.

Well done - it's a great programme (I've only just graduated) - not always easy but is do-able and you will be amazed how far you will progress.

Great advice from the community here and some really nice, supportive fellow runners.

good luck and happy running

Well done - Starting is the hardest part. Now just keep listening to Laura, don't try to go fast, and if necessary take the Mastermind catch-phrase for a motto "I've started, so I'll finish" .

Yeah, well done for starting.

What you need to bear in mind is that we all started just where you are now. I for one found that first run damn hard and wondered how on earth this programme would ever get me running for 30 mins.

But slow and steady and we got there. The weeks pass surprisingly quickly. Before you know it you'll be conquering week after week.

Stick with it - it's well worth it, believe me.

:-) :-)
