Back in the game. Screw you treadmill. Nothing like a drizzly morning running taking in the beautiful countryside views.

A leisurely 5km but it’s not a race. Getting fitness back to an acceptable level (to me).

Explored NEW route too! Happy. Now energised to take on the day.

Sorry about your muscles around the knee being sore but hopefully the soreness will go soon. Congratulations on running that 5K today in a very good time of 32.10. Have a Happy New year once the knee is no longer sore.

Hey Al. My best to date is 30m20s. Looking forward to being back in the rhythm and having stronger knees.

Wow, only 21 seconds from a sub 30 minute 5k, Chris, surely you can break that barrier in 2019. 😊 🏃

Yes they say that on your non running days to get stronger for runs you should be able to do other exercises. I went a 12 Kilometre walk/ run today after doing several exercises before I had my breakfast.

First exercise :a 5 and a half minute elbow plank. A 5 minute break.

Second exercise :20 pressups

A 3 minute break

Third exercise 5 minutes on a pair of 5 kilogram kettlebells, after that I had breakfast and got ready for according to Mapmywalk was a 12 Kilometre walk, I did run some of that when I saw other runners, seeing them made me want to have a short run as well although I did not have any running clothes with me.

Good run Chris. I was running in a park near you early this morning... the mist was lifting and the drizzle was so refreshing in perfect running temperatures. You’ve done an amazing job in 2018... 2019 will be amazing.

I’m getting my distance back up a half mile at a time and feeling good. I’ll be doing that parkrun by spring at the latest, hope to see you there some week.
