There seems to have been a record number of runner's today graduating, perhaps something to do with Xmas and the end of the year, makes it all the merrier
Hi. Congratulations on graduating ! I too did my first park run yesterday so I’m a Newbie, but I wonder if you didn’t do your usual stretching, which led to your legs aching? I know I didn’t ,as I felt a bit conspicuous when others weren’t stretching- maybe it should be built into events ? Now we’ve got to keep it up- good luck!
Congratulations! I was a definite lifelong non-runner just 7 months ago. Now I think a 5K Parkrun is a great start to the weekend. Early days yet (7 runs to date) and with the wet weather and short daylight hours I am not running as regularly as I should, but I am already noticing the legs are less achy at the end of the run. But it certainly helps if I do some kind of warm-down exercise and/or stretches afterwards.
Congratulations on completing C25K. It is a great achievement. Don't worry where you came in the field, I did my 2nd parkrun yesterday and discovered I am consistent in my achievement of coming in 1 second ahead of the tail runner. As I was a tourist yesterday, I have got to know a second tail runner quite well.
Yay!! Congratulations. Keep it up and you will gradually get to be further up the pack. Better than that you will gradually beat your current personal best with new ones. This is a great achievement, but just the begining, there is loads more fun to come 👍🏅
