C25K wk 9 run 3

HI,

On saturday I took part in my very first Park run, which also coincided with the last run of C25K programme. it was a fantastic experience which I thoroughly enjoyed, and i completed the course in 35:19 so I now have a goal to beat.

The thing is where do I go from here i have been challenged to run a 10k in may and a half marathon in October is this realistic? is their a 5K-10K plan? I never thought I'd be able to run for a minute when I started tis but now I reached the 5K I do not want to stop!

Great job... very respectable first parkrun time... congratulations on graduating.

Consolidate where you are for a good few runs and then start the 10k plan on Bridge to 10k (I think the next official running of it is mid January) and you’ll get to 10k pretty quickly. HM by October should be very realistic... keep the running slow and gentle most of the time to avoid injury. HM plan is 4/5 months ideally. Enjoy the journey to 13.1
