Hello C25K friends! I just wanted to write to firstly say thank you for this programme and to those who run the admin. It has helped me immensely having the support and advice I have found on here. It’s also always a great encouragement to hear other peoples stories of how they are getting on. 🙏
Today I completed C25K fir the second time. Last time I did it was 5 years ago and I was 35 and now I’m 40. I forgot how much doing C25K benefitted my life last time and I’m so grateful to be reminded of that again. I don’t know why I stopped running really, maybe life got in the way but this time I really want to stick at it as much as I can.
So here’s my take on it…
C25K has given me a confidence boost I so needed. I feel stronger both in my body and mind. After going through a bit of a tough time during the pandemic due to one thing or another, I finally feel like my feet are back on the ground (now literally too!) 😂.
Having that challenge to push yourself, in my case, in an area out of my comfort zone has given me the mental and physical challenge I needed. On a side plus note I feel so much more toned too and I definitely have less wobbly bits! 😂
If you are either just starting or half way through - keep going! You won’t regret it and push on through those tough days, as the reward at the end definitely outweighs the pain of a tough run.
So thanks again and now I am going to look into doing this C25K + 12 Week plan I think, as do like having a structure/aim and found that helped. Also can’t wait to do a Park Run as loved them before.
Happy Running everyone! ☀️
