I have had a fabulous C25K journey so far.... but I really struggled this evening.... my legs felt heavy and the front and back were painful. I went the same route that I went on w7r1 and I was short by a way tonight.... I have been reading others posts on here and have been sort of waiting to have a difficult run... I feel a bit disappointed but think I will wait an extra day before starting week 8.... is that the right thing to do do you think? Thanks!

Difficult run w7r3

Personally, I would re-do this run after a rest day before moving on to week 8.

Well done, you did it.
Heavy legs can be a symptom of poor hydration.
There is nothing wrong with an extra rest day as the runs get longer.

Poor you, but you’re in good company; I bet most of the posters on this forum have had an off day-it’s normal.
But do heed Iannoda Truffe’s advice on hydration, before & after exercise but throughout the day too. If it’s any help, i’ve found taking two rest days between runs suits me far better than just one-maybe it’s my age 😂
And agree that consolidation is always a good idea-proves you can crack it.
Keep going and be kind to yourself-best of luck xx

Hey, you did it ! Well done you ⭐️ Personally I’d go on to week 8, but with the attitude that you plan to try it and enjoy the attempt rather than thrash it. You can do this ! And we’re all right behind you !
