I'm doing C25K on my treadmill as the weather outside is horrible where I live this time of year. For those of you who did C25K on your treadmills and then tried transitioning to outside running, how long did it take before you could do similar distance/speed outside as you were doing on your treadmill? Particularly if you live in hilly terrain?
I'm at a very high altitude and my neighborhood is full of very steep hills, so I'd love to have an idea of what I can expect come warm weather. I want to sign up for a 5K race when I'm ready.

I’ve done it the opposite way to you. I’ve been running outdoors and now moved inside onto the treadmill for the winter. I’ve actually found I’m slightly slower on the treadmill, as I can’t quite get into a steady pace. I think you just need to go for it and enjoy your 5k race without worrying about your speed x
Like you, I completed c25k on a treadmill. I found I would set off much quicker outdoors and would have to walk for parts of the run, especially hills. Once I learnt to set off slower I completed some 5kms without walking or stopping. Doesn’t take long to adjust, maybe 4 or 5 runs.
