Hi... I did w6 r1...and I struggled like mad. Yet 2 days previously I'd done the 20 mins on w5 r3. Just a bad day?...or could it be cos I switched from treadmill to outside? Anyone else have trouble with this run?

Hey Dilly_Dilly! You are not alone, many people struggle with W6R1. Actually after my happy W5R3 post 🎊😃🎉, I received a cautionary msg from one of our lovely fellow runners warning me about it. I felt very grateful because even with that heads-up I found it harder than the previous one. So, don’t worry, it is kind of to-be-expected! And I always run outside as I hate the dreadmill, but some people also struggle with that transition. Probably it was the combination of both things that made it harder for you. Relax and enjoy your next one, maybe you can slow down a bit to make it more comfortable. Slow and steady! 💪

Ahhh thank you...but if I slow down anymore I'm sure I'll be going backwards 😂

Notoriously tricky run, it’s caught many out, many more have struggled with it. Yes it was tough... but you took it on and down it went, great job.

Perhaps you started off too quickly- I have never run on a treadmill but I am assuming you can set speed on the machine. When you are running outside there is nothing to say you've set off too fast. Start slow, its running time that counts not distance- that will come and It has just done so today!

I was wondering about the speed thing too. Thank you 😊
