Hi, I am 60 in a month. I show as being obese in the BMI. I have to agree. I want to feel more motivated to help myself but always seem to take the easy and lazy option. Perhaps today it will change.

Yes today it will change. You’ve taken the first step - the decision to try and change. Follow the programme at your own pace - slow and steady - it’s an amazing programme- trust yourself. You can do this - we’re all here to help and motivate you. Let’s go 🏃🏼‍♀️👍✅😊

You've made a great decision! The forum is a perfect place to share your progress, stay motivated, and if you want, to post here after any of your sessions and even to post any time you're struggling with motivation. We've all been there! You're in good company!

Yep, pull on those shoes and good luck with W1R1! Remember to take the run intervals slow and steady - think time on your feet rather than speed. Good luck.👍🙂

Couch to 5k is an amazing programme Chirpybird, take it nice and steady to begin with, don’t run to quick, so you’ve got enough in the tank to complete each run, and get a good upbeat playlist to listen to. Make 2020 a year to remember for a good reason and make this forum your go to place after each run.....Good Luck 👍

You could be writing about me!! 🙈😳

I’m 60 in just over 2 months

I am BMI obese - crikey I dare not look but I reckon so!! Those Haribo Sweeties are the work of the devil 👿

I allowed work to swallow my life- the only thing I had energy for was climbing into bed ( or opening a bag of Haribo!) 😳

Lazy sounded just fine to me!!

BUT THEN...

I found C25k!!!!!

Now then - I can’t promise you that haribo’s are gone forever but I reckon their sales have definitely slumped!

I’m not gonna tell you porkies and say it’s easy (tho it is certainly easier than I thought!)

Please ... please.... PLEASE let this be the day you make a change!

The fact you're even here tells me you want to!!

I can promise you it will be the BEST decision you have made!

I can promise you the feel good factor is sweeter than any Haribo!

I can promise you that you will go to bed feeling like you have kicked your lazy Gremlin out your life!

I an promise you support and motivation in bucketfuls from this forum! (I would have packed in long ago but for this lovely lot on here!). We share the highs, the lows, and we carry you through your journey on here!

Have I convinced you yet!!!!?

I sound like I’m employed by the C25k forum ... I’m NOT

but I will leave you with this thought...

I described myself to my hairdresser as a fat old Labrador ( labradors are lovely 🐾 but they do pile on the lbs as they get older!) ...

I’m hopefully transforming into a Beautiful Frenchie (chose them because my daughter has one and she’s the best 💕🐾)

Think my fast as a racing greyhound dog Have gone but I can hold my own on the running front now! 👏👏

I’ve turned from someone who struggled massively in week 1 (do NOT let that put you off!) to running a 10k on Sunday!!

I am definite one of the many success stories on here

It’s BLOODY brilliant!!!

JFDI - (just F***ing DO IT) - I promise you wont look back!

I have everything crossed that you will make the right choice 🤞🏻 And that we get the opportunity to officially welcome you to our running family! 🤗 💕
