W6r2 in the bag

So I was up and out at 5:45 this morning to do my last interval run. Those 10 minutes seem to feel like a lifetime! However I did it without stopping again!

I was thinking during the run how far I have come over the last few weeks. I am always so sceptical and when I started I thought there was no chance in hell this would improve my fitness in such a short space of time.

I struggled so much doing the 1 minute runs and now I am doing 20 minutes non stop and from now on doing 25 minute + runs without stopping!

If anybody is thinking about doing this purely to improve their fitness then I would tell them they need to try this programme. I cannot recommend it enough. I have always said I can't run and never will and now look at me!

This forum is also great reading everyone else's stories and realising I am not alone in doing this even though I physically am during the early morning runs.

I am going to attempt the 25 minute run tomorrow. I know I should have a rest day but I am out tomorrow night drinkijg for the first time in a long while and I don't think I would be able to face it Sunday morning! However I will see how I feel tomorrow and keep you posted.

Now I am off to work booo :( at least it is Friday though :D

What a great start to the day for you. 👏👏The programme is great isn’t it - it has so many benefits, both physical and mental.

Personally, I would add a rest day , rather than take one away. A lot of repair work is done on your rest days. Enjoy your night out.

Firstly well done on run 2.

Now, what’s the rush to do run 3... is the vastly increased chance of injury and restarting the plan in a month or three all over again worth a couple of days? Sunday afternoon, Monday morning, Tuesday morning... all make a lot more sense than tomorrow.
