Took 9 weeks to conquer week 1 ! Now on my second repeat of week 2. I can do this ! It just takes a bit longer than usual 😄

Eek - 36 mins, that's fab! I graduated a few weeks ago and hit my first 5k on Friday, but it took me 44 mins! At least I've got something to work with, building up to sub 40 mins over the next few weeks, but very impressed with your time!

I’m nowhere near 5k but I’m not on a hurry

4K is quite manageable for me in 30 mins on a good day so now I’m going to start adding 5 mins a week until I get there !!

I think that is the way to get there ; adding a bit of time on each week . I find i run better when i have had 3 days off between runs . Which means i only doing 2-3 a week , but i'm going further and a bit faster . Enjoy it!

Congratulations on the 5k and that’s a very very good time for a first one too. Keep enjoying it and occasionally having a go at that PB!

Thanks for congrats .

PB !!!

I am amazed that a 51 year old over weight woman can run at all ; let alone do 5k . Yes i am getting a bit faster but it is slow progress .

Consolidate on 5k and then push one run longer by 500m a week for a few weeks, that’ll start to boost the 5k time.
