I am not a technical person, not a gadget person,so today I used my shadow to keep an eye on my pace!Does anyone else do this?!
My pace is always slow, which is fine with me, but I kept an eye on my pace, particularly in the first few minutes, and although of course it is by no means accurate in any shape or form,it did make me more aware of taking it as slowly as possible to ensure I comfortably completed the 28 mins......onwards and upwards to weeek 9!
I hope everyone has a good week wherever you are on the programme....🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️

Cool! Can’t say I do it... and you’re in trouble if the shadow kicks on ahead maybe... but you found a method that works for you, and that’s, therefore, perfect... at least on a sunny day... for your running. Dr Bannister didn’t have a running watch, or an app when he broke that 4 minute mile, sometimes we are too dependent on stats in running, just as we are too dependent on tech in general.
Into the victory lap now... maybe run towards the sun at the end of run 3 and beat that shady character... enjoy every run.
I won't be able to start week 9 until Friday but I will try and enjoy the 3 runs.
I agree with you about some of the technology we have in our everyday lives-some of it is quite amazing and very clever, but we are in danger at times of losing simple things like the art of conversation.
My first attempt at the programme was done just by running with my phone in my hand and the stopwatch running to tell me when to walk and when to run!So, I have made life easier this time by downloading the app and running with SM-just doing that was technical enough for me!!😳
I cringe when I see people in the great outdoors walking with their phone in front of them checking social media messages that really can wait... it’s the great outdoors, nice that they’re out there, healthy thing to do, but for heavens sake actually enjoy your surroundings and the whole experience!
We have a week each year where we go to Center Parcs and when we arrive all tech is turned off and locked away... best week of my year!
