Week 6, run 1

I developed some calf issues over the last couple of weeks , so I took it easy for a week. Leg fine again, sun was shining , beautiful day to get back on track. After completing a 20 minute run , run 1 this week seemed easy enough. But with having taken the week off running energy levels were a little low. Quite scary how quickly they can go downhill ๐Ÿ™„. It really does make a difference when having a longer break between runs. But determination got me all the way to the end ๐Ÿ˜Š. Now looking forward to the next challenge. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Yes I agree that determination gets you to the end, if you are off running for a short time you lose momentum to run, but what I do is to put on one of the earlier weeks of C25K, I. e, week 3 or 4 and run that rather than go back to running week 1.

Great job... that run catches a lot of people out so itโ€™s not all down to your break... enjoy run 2

Well done completing W6R1. Donโ€™t be alarmed, itโ€™s definitely not just your time off. Itโ€™s a notorious bogey run and itโ€™s renowned for being way harder than it appears, especially after the euphoria of running for 20 minutes at the end of W5.

Take R2 lovely and slowly and youโ€™ll be fine. Then itโ€™s all long runs all the way to the podium with no pesky intervals to interrupt you! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜€

Well done.. and the thing is, even with injury you can maintain your fitness by upping of your core strength exercises on your rest days:)
