W8R1 oops need to rerun!

Well, I loved the run and my planned route, however, for some reason I needed to walk for a couple of minutes three quarters of the way through. I listened to my body, brisked walked then continued to run 🏃‍♀️

I cried on the cool down because I felt I had not done my best but now I feel positive about a rerun on Monday. This is only the second time on C25K that I have not achieved what is required. I will not continue until I have nailed each run.

Happy weekend running everybody.

😀👍🏃‍♀️

Don't feel too hard on yourself, you have done very well in getting to week 8, with determination you will succeed with your rerun of run 1 of week 8 this Monday. 😊 🏃

This is not a failure, it’s a progression. You ran more than the time before and less than you want to: that’s a sensible stage in learning. Very few people can just bash straight through the programme, which is why it has a repeat facility ! See if you can work out why you tired - was it hydration, lack of sleep, a steep route etc ? Then you can put that right and try again. You’re doing great, and we’re all right here behind you. Happy running !

Sounds like you gave it your best to me, give yourself a break there! That’s a really good workout and you’ll be so much stronger next time out because of it. Look at W1R1 and remember that one... so now you struggled in a 28 minute run, that’s pretty amazing when you think about it.

Sorry to hear that ready. But on the plus side you have an extra practice run under your belt which will just make you stronger for the next run 😀😀
