Yesterday I managed to complete my W8R2 run as planned but I found it really tough.
It was probably down to the bad nights sleep I'd had the night before but I'm beginning to think it's ONLY my determination that gets me through these latest runs.
I did manage to cover 4.2km in the 28mins and at age 63 I suppose I should be happy with that but I am so completely kn*ckred that I worry my determination is pushing me too far.

Listen to your body Ian. Running hurts and you get to a point where you know what pain is manageable. If it’s hurting slow down a bit. As long as you’re moving, you’re moving forward.
You sound like you’re doing great to me ! Make sure you keep up your fluids and that your rest days are genuinely restful. My driving instructor used to say “When in doubt, slow down” - sound advice in all areas of life ! Happy running x
63, not run in 20 years, a couple of months in, finding 28 minutes tough? That’s amazing... you completed it. If it was only determination getting you through these you’d have stopped weeks ago, your legs are doing a lot of work! Great job and enjoy closing week 8.
