Dodgy knee

Hi,

I started C25K a couple of years ago, at the time i didn't complete it due to twisting my knee and just never getting back into it.

I now have started again and 2 runs in and my knee has started bothering me.

Basically, what are the best exercises to strengthen my knee? And am i best stopping until my knee is stronger, or carry on as long as I'm doing both?

Many thanks

Have a look at Oldfloss' post over on Strength & Flex - it has loads of information about dealing with knee pain:

Good luck! xx

Welcome back to the forum and well done on restarting.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Thank you. I read this the other night and I've taken away (and saved) a lot of great info.

Am i best to strengthen my knee before going any further or would i be okay to keep going with my C25K?

Do it alongside the plan, but do minimise impact too.
