So for the last 4 years I’ve been trying to complete this C25k... this will probably be my 10th attempt!!

I have never got past week 3!!

So I am starting tomorrow morning at Week 1. I really hope I can finish it this time.

Any tips or motivational tools to help me stay committed? Thanks! :-)

Wow J3ss, 9 previous attempts have all failed at week 3, I do really hope that your 10th attempt at C25K will be much better, just start all yours runs slowly, it is not how fast you can go, drink a lot of water the day before, once you start your runs, take them slowly, perhaps on the 9 previous attempts you have run too fast, good luck with number 10.

Welcome back... check this post out as a refresher...then.. slow and steady as you go :)

Yeah... what I think you need to do this time is sign up to a really supportive C25K forum that will celebrate each victory on your journey with you, and also catch you when you fall, dust you down, give you a pep talk and then run with you the next time... if only I knew where to find such a place. Well done, you found us!

Do you know why you stopped the other times? All this really takes is a refuse to quit mindset... the plan will do the rest. I set goals... I started with 3, the first were to complete this and I still got two. Maybe break the 9 weeks down... get to the three where you were and you get a small reward, 6 and you get something nice for yourself, finish this and you buy something that will last forever and you can see and think “I did that”

You can do the programme, no doubt... post here lots and we will do what we can to help.

Welcome back! I don't think I can improve on all the advice you've been given above, but the main thing that works for me is keeping it slow, and if I feel I'm struggling I just slow it down even more.

You can do this - we'll be cheering you on!

This community can make all the difference. Do leverage it.

I also found an app called HabitBull useful in making sure I went on runs even when the mood was flagging ... just to keep the streak going :-)

What's your motivation for starting your 10th attempt?

Why do you want to do it?

Why do you stop at Week 3?
