It’s hammering down here this eve, I really hope it’s stopped by the morning. If not any suggestions for running in torrential rain!! Other than don’t!! Haha
Rain : It’s hammering down here this eve, I... - Couch to 5K
Rain
If you’re anywhere near me, Derbyshire, it’s forecasted to stop by 5am but comeback mid afternoon
Hopefully the rain won't last too long Shelley, I have no suggestions about running in torrential rain ☔as I don't. Tomorrow I intend if it is not ☔ raining to run 🏃week 5 run 3 because 20 minutes is long enough for me as I have already this week walked 12 Kilometres on Tuesday and ran 🏃5K on Thursday. 😊
When I graduated from C25K in 2014 or something - I asked the same question. I was told "Skin is Waterproof". I have since gotten myself so called water proof running jackets and hats - from Aldi and Decathlon, so they didn't cost the earth, and I have quite started enjoying running in the rain, Not brave enough to go out when it is pouring down, but quite ok to continue if it starts raining when I am out.
Was wondering that too... I'm about to start week 9 and it's looking so bleak outside. Only run in light rain so far
Went out in the rain earlier and it was glorious bit chilly at first but refreshing and helped clear out the cobwebs.
Warm house, shower and towel for after.
Get a snorkel. Same here last night but forecast predicted a 3 hour gap so had to get up and out. Glad I did
Give it a go, you might just like it!
I find it really energising, plus you get to feel really smug afterwards 😂
Just make sure you dry off quickly.
You can only get so wet!! We went out in pouring rain a few sundays ago and yes it was cold and yes water was dripping off my nose...but we actually had a great run...and the shower after was heavenly!! 🤣
Well I wimped our this morning. The suns now out and I’ve got to get shopping added to the fact that there will be people about!! Hopefully later I’ll get out, if not early tomorrow. 😊
Tomorrow’s another day😇
Having commented on your post earlier I then felt obliged to walk (or should that be run?!) the talk and headed out for my longest run so far, so thanks for the motivation!
