Completed after a year of procrastination, find getting into a routine so difficult, I’m not the most disciplined. The dark is my friend as are many of the posts I read here, so great to read about the honest experiences. SO helpful. Thank you.

Welcome back, I see you posted a while back!

Great job on week 1, that’s the hardest to get done. I too spent a year thinking about starting running and as luck would have it my procrastinating meant that after an awful attempt at doing this a different way, I got pointed to parkrun, met the right guy there, who sent me here... never looked back from that day.

You can do this, no worries there, just schedule your next run each time you finish one and leave the procrastination in the last year where it belongs.

Enjoy the journey.

I will take that on board, I am trying to cut out the thinking and just do it!!

Cut out the thinking ! That is exactly what I did for most of C25K. 😀 I planned in advance which days I would run, kept all my gear together so I could be out within five minutes and did “don’t think just go”. It worked really well for me except for one occasion when I was so in the zone of “don’t think just go” that I didn’t notice I was going down with a bug and discovered during my run that I felt ill. I haven’t made that mistake again.

Good for you for your determination. Enjoy your running journey. 😄

Well done for starting JT...I agree about the dark being your friend, it's mine too, but I think it's a confidence thing with me, which normally I'm full of, but this seems different somehow.

I think as C25K progresses the confidence will grow and running in the daytime won't be an issue.

Completed W2R1 this morning which went well, in the dark of course at 5am, which always helps.

Keep going JT...it will soon be W9
