So on Monday I tripped over a few minutes into my run. I was running in the woods and I tripped over a tree root, cutting and bruising my knee, shin, hip and hands! I also broke my headphones, which I’m gutted about 😕

I’m still black and blue, but decided to go out again today. It was ok, but I really need to sort out my headphone situation. What do you use? I tried the in-ear set that came with my iPhone, but spent the whole run pushing them back in🙄

I’m thinking headband? I’ve ordered a set of EarPods, but I’m not convinced they’ll stay in either!!

Thank you if you’ve managed to read this far!

Good to see you picked yourself up and dusted yourself down and finished the run. Well done. Looks like it was painful.

Ouch. You’re back running so soon after that? Ok... you get my hat’s off moment of the day... amazing.

Apple did make a huge deal of how their new earphone shape wouldn’t come out... I’m the same as you, my guess is they didn’t run with them in testing, they’re hopeless. I think the over ear clippy ones are better, headband too most likely, but my ears get hot in them just sitting.

Enjoy that next run... hopefully that tree root learned its lesson and told its friends.

💪👍😃😃

I use the iphone ear plug thingy and hold it in place with a folded

Buff (folded several times to make a headband ). It stays in then 👍

If you go to the official Buff website there’s a clip on all the ways you can wear your Buff They can be knotted, twisted and folded in various ways 🙂

Ouch that looks painful. Hope you heal quickly.

Yes, very painful to touch. Luckily there’s no pain when running (well, no more than usual 😂)

Thank you lovely people 😊

Hello there,

I felt so very sorry for you as tripping up while out on a feelgood run is deserving of some TLC, so here I am to offer you words of comfort.

Firstly, be glad that your bruising has come out and from your pic you had a serious argument with that tree root; this may seem a crazy suggestion but if you have some Vicks Vapo Rub in your medicine cupboard you could put some of that on. The menthol will naturally warm up your bruised area and help it heal, apart from the lovely menthol smell it does work.

Tell you what headphones I wear and this would be a good one for you. I bought a wireless Bluetooth pair of ear buds from Vodafone for £25.00 - they are called iFrogz and are awesome, crystal clear sound and pairs with your mobile/iPhone easily. The assistant will show you how to pair them up.

Good luck and let me know how you get on and if the Vicks Vapour rub works in healing your bruising, the fresh smell and warmth is very comforting.

Bye for now,

Chataholic x

Thank you, I’ll try anything! A colleague brought me in a tub of arnica gel yesterday (I think she was getting fed up of my daily bruise updates!)

I’ll look into those earbuds too, thanks. X
