It looms like a cloud on the horizon when finishing week 4. 20 minutes of uninterrupted running. Despite all the niggling doubts taunting me, saying it's too far, too wet, a bit under the weather. I made my self do it, and do it I did! Very slowly.
While rounding the grounds of a local church a chap with beer can started running along side me asking how far I was going. 15 minutes in at this point, I was struggling and going tortoise pace, he passed me then waited for me to catch up! I tried to up my pace, I did not feel in any danger but didn't want the hassle I tried to kick on a pace fortunately his stamina failed before mine. He wasn't a threat but it was not what I needed at the time, but did help me take my mind off the leg pain and breathing, so guess I owe him one. When Jo announced 2 minutes to go I knew I was going to make it.
20 minutes running seemed impossible a few months ago!

Love this one. When I get to W4 I will have this vision of someone who looks like old Steptoe with that seven day shadow and a bottle of Carlsberg special brew asking "how far are you going?" LOL. I can't wait for it.
Ha ha! Your title made me laugh out loud! Congrats on completing w5r3, and extra well done for keeping on running in the face of adversity!! 😁 With this attitude you will go far! 😂
Brilliant and well done. I too did the same run yesterday. It was hard but I made it even after taking a fall over a pack of barking dogs round my feet!!
Oh I love this! Really very well done for completing this run, and beating your running buddy!! 🍺🏃♂️🏃♂️💪🙌
I'll be attempting the same run Wed or Thursday so wish me luck!
I did run 2 (wk5) today and thought I was going to be beaten by a young lad just walking!! I said to myself "I'm so going to overtake you sunshine", when he turned off in another direction.. I just laughed to myself muttering "I would of had you, I would!" 😂🤭🏃♂️🚶♂️
