I've been a prude so far and kept away from temptation with the trainer π porn. Needed a holiday clothes shop so it was a good enough excuse to order myself a 3rd generation of grey runners. Weren't supposed to arrive until sometime tomorrow so a nice surprise and may give them a spin for W9R1 tomorrow π
Had intended to treat myself to gait analysis after graduation but I've always found these Adidas cloudfoams to be pretty gentle on my feet, and keep my feet pretty cool.
I really should have thrown them away but the grotty old first pair on the left were what I had used 2 years ago on my first CT5K attempt (now relegated to dog walk shoes) . 2nd have been my lucky trainers so far (so may have to switch back if I fail tomorrow!) but they have started to feel a bit stretched of late.
Now back to the ironing π’...

Haha π ! We only have our dog but I've been saying for a while now he needs a little job. Ironing for him first then Britain's Got Talent in the spring...
I actually didn't this try them this time around and was pretty much an impulse buy, so think I just got lucky π and the vid below sold me. They were pretty cheap so not a huge gamble either as they looked pretty much a newer version of what I've been using. Definitely worth just going into shops and trying different pairs though if Gait analysis isn't the preferred option for your next pair. youtube.com/watch?v=8wslckn...
I absolutely swear by Adidas ultraboost trainers. Started with cloud foam but ultraboost are much lighter and like running barefoot in clouds! Even converted my husband from a die hard Nike fan!
Awesome, watched a video about them yesterday and ultra boosts were highly recommended too, so may put a pair on my wishlist (These were pretty well discounted - so may keep as a day pair). As much as the sole I just find the inside fits my feet so well, every Nike trainer I've tried has felt too narrow or constrictive.
I find nikes quite narrow too. Apart from my nike air max thea but they are a hybrid day shoe. I got my ultraboost from a local outlet with Β£100 discount! If you look on m and m direct they are normally on sale too. Make sure you size up thou if you do get some
yep will do, think I may just have pretty wide feet too. Had the same with a pair of hiking boots that ended up giving me nasty blisters because they were just a little bit too narrow. Hah my girlfriend just found that site last week actually and went on a shoe frenzy with it! π Will have a think on, I'd like these trainers as an everyday pair - so may just use that as an excuse to justify another pair just for running. (Before I make these too smelly!)
Have you got a runners need nearby? Or any other sports shop? I know runners need definitely stock them, maybe give them a try before you commit. And I'm 100% with your girlfriend, that website is dangerous for shoes and trainers π
Thanks yep, we have an up & running in huddersfield and a runners need in Leeds by the looks of it. Will defo head in to try a pair, christmas shop is due so may head over this weekend. Thanks again!
