Did I? Really? Is it this? Was this The Line? Did I graduate? Seriously? Did I just run 3 times for 30 minutes? Was it really me? Have I just run 5K? I mean 5000m???
Very short summary:
I have nice even pace for most of the time. I tried to learn from the best and I started slow and tried to increase the pace every about 10 minutes with maximum effort (about 70% of my max speed) at the last ~3 minutes. I struggled with breathing for substantial amount of time, like the air would be heavy, but I breathed heavily with some panting only at the end. I completed 5K in 34min and I am very proud of my result. But my biggest achievement is running 3 times a week for the whole 9 weeks.
I couldn't do it without all of you. Expect lengthy and emotional post tomorrow.

Congratulations! Great time too! Brilliant finish to the programme. Itβs been a real pleasure seeing your journey unfold. Hope youβre celebrating well... I just got home, so Iβd best crack one open cheers π·
Enjoy consolidation and your next running adventure
Oh @IgaT such fabulous news, you are the epitome of commitment. For so many times, bad health and a busy life got in the way of your graduation, but you kept on going. I am really really pleased for you being a real life C25K graduate. You prove that the seemingly impossible is possible
And yes you look very inch a runner. Well done my dear dear friend
Thank you In deed it was a long and bumpy journey, but with some persistence (or pure stubbornness) and plenty friends in here, I did cross the line All you need is great friends and "some" time
Aaaah Tiga! You did it... YESSSS! πππ
Thank you so much for the mention, that is so kind ...but unnecessary, it has been an absolute pleasure following your journey, your amazing personality shines through every post you write whether you felt it was a good, bad or indifferent run ...it was always an IgaT run π
It was also amazing to watch the amount of thought, effort and preparation you have put in outside of the running to give yourself the best possible chance of reaching this point right now. You can finally say it ...youβve done it!
Well done Graduate, you should be proud. You have worked incredibly hard for that badge.
Oh yes, the smile and happiness was / is huge After about 1.5 years, I did it
My rest / relax already included 50 minutes stretching of probably every "running" muscle, laziness with legs against the wall, hot bubble bath, and some Baileys
I'm already on ju-ju's list, so I will try it out, but probably next week or in 2 weeks time
Congratulations! You look so healthy, happy and glowing! I hope that you had more than one Baileys to help you celebrate. Thank you for being such a huge source of motivation and support, not only to myself but to many. I always read your posts before I head out, and hope to continue doing so. Hope you have a wonderful weekend π
I plan to keep posting, for now still here, in couple of weeks I may move to Bridge to 10K. But time will show where I land
Congratulations IgaT. I am really happy for you after all the trials and tribulations over the weeks and months. Your grit and determination has paid off and you are now a graduate!
A whole new world of running awaits! Enjoy the warm glow of success
I am happy and proud as hell, but... After such a long time, the thing that makes me really happy is that I stick to it, that I am running 3 x week, slow / fast, short / long, happy / tired... But I am running I didn't quit and I croased the magic line, one of many on my path
Oh wow brilliant such a big well done to you. I was looking out for your final run and it looks like you nailed it! Amazing job and 5k too ππ» very pleased for you - and lovely photo too π πΎπ₯π
Thank you I wasn't sure about the 5K. My goal was 30 minutes. But as always I dream big, so I tried new feature of my app (Endomondo) and set the goal for 5K and asked it to give me an update every 10 minutes. So when it told me that with my pace I will finish at about 35 minutes, I decide to give it a try and see what happens
I think is it my only good selfie I have ever done
So so happy for you IgaT! π Been looking out for when you would tackle R3 and what another great post to finish with. 3 times a week is definitely a huge accomplishment too and stretching it out to 5k must just be the icing on the cake! π Hope you celebrated in style and looking forward to hearing how you tackle the consolidation runs now too. Just brilliant! πππ
Thank you I did celebrate it And dreamed some new goals. 5K was an amazing and unexpected achievement, as I thought I will need additional 2 weeks to get to this magic distance.
I think I will do some easy and short consolidation run tomorrow, as I am still a bit sore. As usual, I will decide kind of last moment
