After becoming a graduate C25K on wed my goal has always been to complete a park run. Today is the day! I have ran several 5ks so the distance is not a worry. It’s all a bit daunting, but I’m going to give it me all!! 😊

Just enjoy it, and avoid chasing a pace that you can’t sustain.

Enjoy your first 5K parkrun this morning Honeybee99, you will find that it will be a difference 🏃 running with a friendly group of people compared to running on your own, perhaps you can get a PB, but the main thing is just to enjoy your run. 🏃 😊

I know you can do it and it will be fun I’m sure but I appreciate the nerves beforehand as I would be exactly the same. If yours is like ours you get tea and cake afterwards so look forward to the reward for all your efforts

Yes I did it and a PB! Lucky to have my husband run with me to keep me going, but breezy on the 2nd lap of York race course!!

So pleased I did it though. Now to keep on running......definitely going to do, not sure where it will take me, but 3 times a week is where I’m heading. 😊
