Just completed my second consolidation run of 32mins. Got to 4.3K. Still short of 5K. I think I may do it in week 11. Next week will extend to 35mins I think. I tried to a steady run for 10mins then thought I would speed up but only kept this up for a couple of mins before resorting to steady pace to the end. Knees feel as if they have worked this morning though. This is the first time though I've felt any discomfort. I felt all this time I was holding myself back maybe after all I wasn't and just need to be patient. Its hard though as every run you want to do better.

Just keep up the regular running and you wil get there as your body gets stronger. Well done!

Extend distance/endurance and run easy... run faster on a regular length, or shorter run. A nice 2k fartlek or tempo run will hurt less than trying to do that and do your usual session.

Well done that’s good progress! I’m still consolidating too - only to 3.5k in 31mins. I’m trying not to push too hard as need to keep my pace slow. We’ll get to the magic 5km soon enough 👍🏻
