So I did my 1st parkrun away from home as I was staying at in-laws this weekend. I only went and left my running shoes there! They are lovely bright pink inexpensive Adidas trainers bought ready to start C25k.
Anyway, just "for fun" I went into a running shop in town today. Turns out I'm wearing running shoes that are a whole size too small and should be in 6.5! Well, the shoes I tried on made me feel like I was running on air. Then he mentioned problems that could arise from too-tight running shoes, and I realised that a tiny little blood blister under the toenail of my second toe is probably due to running a 5k in small shoes!
Well, I didn't spend the extortionate amount on the shoes. But, I'm going back on Friday to trade in my beautiful pink ones for £20 off (plus a student discount!) and taking my sister-in-law with me!
What a revelation!
