Been waiting so long to see the โGraduateโ image on my app! So proud of myself that I did it....although worried about making sure I donโt waste all the hard work now! I still donโt enjoy running, and do find it hard work, Iโm not sure if it will ever get easier, but I guess itโs not meant to be easy?!
Now I need to find a routine that works for me with these early nights and cold weather, to keep me going!
Hoping to see some difference in body shape soon which will keep me motivated! Iโve changed my diet dramatically too, but no big change yet.
But...YAY! Still super glad Iโve achieved something.

Well done and try and keep it up, Iโm back for second time and regret giving up , this time around when I finish gona keep at park run and maybe do odd 5k fun runs or something....
Congratulations! Well done for persevering & good luck with your consolidation. I'm due to graduate on my next run & am in the same boat. Really hoping to keep the routine going.
Congratulations ๐๐ ๐๐โโ๏ธ๐คธโโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธForeverYoung21, it is a massive achievement! And that is a great feeling, isnโt it?
I am sure that everyone on here will agree with me that some runs are good and some runs are harder-going. My graduation run today was not a particularly enjoyable run in itself, which was a shame, but the feeling once I completed it was a tremendous sense of achievement, not just because it was my graduation run, but because I did it, I completed it!
Here are some things that are helping me: My progress, however small it may seem, gives me enjoyment. I am still working on getting to that magical 5K and every run is bringing me a little step closer. Small changes in body shape that I can feel, not necessarily visible to others yet, and the feeling of getting stronger. I love being outdoors, feeling, smelling and seeing - which becomes like a mini mindfulness session.
We are all different, with different likes and dislikes. Try to figure out what makes you tick in the context of running and exercising and I know that you will and can find enjoyment. Remember, we are all here for you. I wish you all the best! Well done you ๐๐๐
If you are not enjoying it and finding it hard work, do yourself a favour and slow down. Running slowly builds stamina and strength and is much more enjoyable than pushing hard all the time.
Congratulations! The changes will come if the nutrition is right... donโt worry about that... make sure youโre eating enough calories though, going too low has the opposite result to the logical one. Enjoy your celebration this evening and your next running adventures
