What a fantastic run Iβve had this morning. Having really struggled to get into a regular running routine for the past month, today the gremlins were waiting for me when I woke up. π£
After UnfitNoMore asked me yesterday what todayβs run would be, Iβd decided that I would definitely do my best to run this morning but because of other commitments I had to do it early.
Iβve lost two nights sleep this week so when I woke up at 7am the gremlins were urging me to catch up on my sleep but my lovely husband knowing how much I really wanted to run gave up his bed to come with me π
And so we drove to the res and set off on our warm up walk. Boy is it chilly in these Pennine hills. π¨
I had planned to warm up then run for 1k, walk for a couple of minutes, run another 1k and then see how I felt, but after the first 1k I didnβt want to stop, and that feeling lasted... and lasted. In the end I had to stop at 3.6k because I needed to get home but I think that was the best run Iβve ever done in terms of how much I enjoyed it while I was doing it. π€
The running bug is definitely back. πββοΈπββοΈIβm going to have to be very creative and determined to fit three runs a week in at the moment but I did it this morning so it is possible.
Thanks to all of you runners out there whose posts have reminded me how good it feels to run. Youβre all stars π π
Enjoy your weekend runs one and all πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
