Ok, just finished my first run. I can't say it was easy, if it wasn't my lungs deciding not to work, it was a stitch...but I did it...I bloomin' did it... and that is a massive achievement! I also saw quite a few cute dogs on walks whilst I ran about, so, extra perks! Here's to the next run!

First run done!
Welcome and well done. Hardest run is done.
Run a little bit slower if you can, that should help with the lungs and the stitch. Slow and steady is the best way to do this.
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

Enjoy your journey.
Well done. I was where you are a couple of months back, today I've finished week 8 (28 minute runs) and ready to do 30 minute runs next week for my last week.
Looking back, that first run where I struggled running 60 seconds and thought I would neve be able to do it, it's unbelievable that here I am actually running and enjoying it. It's a great programme.
Enjoy
I've just finished W1 and after my R1 I posted just like you and then read a lot of the replies I had. I followed the advice to run really slowly and my R2 and R3 while certainly wasn't a doddle but was much, much better, especially the breathing. Good luck!
The second run felt easier after the days rest, nice to feel your muscles exist again, it’s nice to get of the house and see some life like you say.
Good luck, it does get easier, I'm currently on week 3 and love it. Never would have to thought I would. Good luck
