So 12 weeks ago I struggled running for 60 seconds and have never run in my life, even at school! This morning - at the age of 54 I ran my first Park run ... 5.3km in 40 minutes 😊 I admit I walked up the very steep hill - but most of the runners did, only the superfit actually run up it - but I completed it and feel on top of the world. This running business is addictive!

First Park Run done!

Great stuff Jacqui, parkrun is the best possible start to the weekend!

Congratulations 👍 That’s very motivating! I am on 3rd run of week 1 so it nice to hear it’s possible/the program works.

Well done!
First park run scheduled for next Saturday. Looking forward to it now I’ve read this and a couple of others that have made their debut this week.
Happy running
I’m so looking forward to being able to join a park run. Can’t wait to get this C25k under my belt and give it a go.
Well done you. What an achievement 👍
just in case people don't know you don't have to run at Parkrun - I have done 4 and brisk walked them all, taking about 55 minutes. Just work on your own personal best time. It's great fun and everyone is so positive 😎

A day to remember JacquiAM, well done😀
It's hard, it hurts, but oh that feeling when you cross the line! I don't know about you, but I am still on a high 24 hours later.
Well done Jacqui.

Well done - I'm impressed. I'm on week 9 and wondering what I will do without the lovely Laura? Parkrun seems the obvious next step but makes me feel really nervous...all those experienced runners! Will I make it round? It seems like a big step up or massive leap?!😱
I felt the same - was really nervous yesterday but everyone was so lovely and there were all sorts of runners - some were walking it, some a gentle jog (me!) and some obviously experienced runners too. Also lots of dogs and buggies too! A really lovely atmosphere. Do it, you won’t regret it 😊

Well done! Fantastic achievement x

That’s brilliant, well done!!! I haven’t been brave enough to do that, there’s a really steep slope at start of my local one too and it scares me 😂🏃♂️
