I’m really not sure how the hell I got through, was ready to give in at 10 and 15 mins. When all went quiet I thought yay it’s the end, “you have 2 mins left” she said, I very nearly sobbed. But had got that far couldn’t very well stop then. Makes Run 1 of week 6 look like a doddle 😆
Thanks for everyone’s support x

Well done. Be careful though: week 6, runs 1 and 2 are NOT a doddle. You'll be fine if you understand that: they're not easy runs but you can do them if you take them as seriously as you did today's. If you expect them to be easy you'll get a shock. It's the total amount of running that matters, not the length of each segment. By the time you get to W6R3 you'll be glad you're finished with walking breaks. Not saying that to discourage you: as I say, if you take it as seriously as week 5 you'll be OK. Just don't expect it to be easy.
That's mental though not physical. In week 5 you've already reduced the walking breaks from three, to two, to one, to none. You've gone from 8 minutes with seven breaks to 20 minutes with no break IN ONLY A MONTH. That's amazing. This week you will go from 20 to 25, and then you will have three more weeks to go from 25 to 30. Easy? No. But within your capabilities? Absolutely! Just look at what you've already achieved!
I am a couple of runs behind you but had a similar moment today when I Thought I must have done 5 minutes when SM said....well done you are half way through......out loud I said......no,I must have done more than 2 and a half minutes!!!!😂
Brilliant Tracy, that’s a great landmark run completed! 👏👏 But don’t take W6R1 too lightly. It has a sting in its tail so make sure you take it slooow.
Congratulations! I knew you would do it! Party time! Or a least celebration!
Remember that W6R1 is tricky, respect it, and go extra slow and steady. Going back to intervals are harder than it seems and many people got caught up off guard.
